Theory classes

You always know which topic is when

Our theory classes run Monday to Thursday, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. The schedule shows you for months ahead which topic takes place on which day and whether it is a basic or a class-specific module. Berlin public holidays are taken into account automatically.

How it works

Six steps to your licence

The route to a driving licence is always the same – and simpler than it looks from the outside. Here it is in the right order.

  1. Sign up

    You register with us, we work out together which class suits you and what you need to bring.

  2. Eye test & first aid

    Eye test at an optician, first aid course with nine units. You can get both done in one afternoon.

  3. Apply

    The application goes to the licensing authority. We check your documents first so nothing bounces back.

  4. Attend theory

    Twelve double periods of basic material plus two class-specific ones for class B. The cycle runs continuously, so you can join at any time.

  5. Take driving lessons

    First the basics, then the special drives on motorway, country roads and at night.

  6. Pass your tests

    Theory first, then practical. We only book you in once we are convinced you are ready.

Which language would you like to ask in?

Theory is hard enough. A question you cannot ask because the word escapes you does not get any smaller. We advise and teach in German, English and Turkish – pick whichever comes easier.

What people ask us most often

That mostly depends on you. If you attend theory promptly and take lessons regularly, two to four months is typical. Our theory cycle covers 14 topics and runs Monday to Thursday, so you can collect all the compulsory ones quickly.

Yes. Classes run in a continuous cycle. You simply join at the next date and pick up the remaining topics when the cycle starts over. The schedule shows exactly which topic is on which day.

For a first licence it is twelve double periods of basic material plus two double periods of class-specific material for class B. For an extension it is six double periods plus the class-specific part. A double period lasts 90 minutes.

For the application you need a valid ID or passport with proof of registration, a biometric photo, an eye test and confirmation of a first aid course. We go through the list with you when you register and check everything in advance.

Yes. We advise you in German, English and Turkish. Just tell us what suits you best – being able to ask questions in your own language helps enormously with the theory material.

In many cases yes. Whether a test is required, and to what extent, depends on the issuing country. Bring your licence along and we will tell you what applies in your case and guide you through the application.

That depends on which class you take and how many lessons you need – and that is different for everyone. Rather than putting a number out there that turns out to be wrong, we prefer to advise you personally and honestly. Call us or drop by.
