FAQ
Questions about choosing the right class
Just tell us what you want to drive – a car, a scooter, the family caravan. The class usually follows from that. This advice costs you nothing and takes ten minutes.
Yes, and it often makes sense. With an extension, theory is reduced to six double periods of basic material plus the class-specific part – which saves time compared with two separate courses.
Both allow a 125. B196 comes without a test but only from 25 and with five years of class B – and it is valid in Germany only. A1 is a proper licence class with a test, available from 16 and valid across Europe.
